“It contains soil, rain, and sunshine. It is also full of clouds, oceans, and minerals. It is even full of space and time. In fact, the whole cosmos is present in this one little flower.”

Thich Nhat Hanh

About the class

Vietnamese Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh created the word “interbeing” – a new verb formed by joining the prefix “inter” with the verb “to be” – to describe the intimate state of connectedness and interdependence of all things.

“You cannot just be by yourself alone.” You are because everything else is.
